Even if we say he is only slightly lesser than Rust, Malkin has his right winger in Kapanen. Would rather just keep Rust cause the pens are likely going to compete for a playoff spot. Only way I see them trading rust is if they can’t get him to re-sign under 6 million and Legare makes the team and finds chemistry with Crosby.

I dont disagree. Panthers shouldn’t be trading for a winger anyways with the way our top 9 looks. A ld is more of what they need or maybe a 3c if lundell doesn’t make the team
