Yes, it would make the Oilers better this season but losing those two top picks....that's iffy.
Holl is solid Dman....heck was better the best RHD for the Leafs when Barrie and Ceci were on the Leafs the Leafs together. The Leafs have no one to take Holl's place as top 4 Dman so the Leafs decline.

Leafs decline. It's not a question of value it's a question of need. The leafs have no one to do what Holl is doing. What good does a first do them that won't help for a few years when they want to compete now? Unless it's immediately flipped for another Rd it simply doesn't work for them

Not even close to adding up in value for a 1st rounder. Neither player addresses any Oiler needs either. Pretty easy pass from the Oilers perspective

Both Toronto and Edmonton decline. Too much for the Oilers to pay; doesn't fit the Leafs' needs.

I'd prefer Edmonton hold off on any trades untill they know what they have. It's possible there might be relatively minor transactions as training camp concludes, but unless the team has significant struggles early in the season, Holland will probably look to shore up the roster closer to the trade deadline.

Korpisalo might be available, but unless he has a really strong season he is not likely to be a target for the Oilers. I doubt the Leafs would move Holl.

Why do you think downgrading from Koskinen to Korpisalo helps the Oilers?

There is no way Korp is a downgrade from Koskinen

He had a bad season last year but before that he is very solid
Mikko has been way to streaky

Korpisalo isn't a good goalie, never has been, never will be. You dismiss his year last season but refuse to with Koskinen - why the double standard? LOOK AT THE NUMBERS.

2018-19
Koskinen .906 > .897 Korpisalo

2019-20
Koskinen .917 > .911 Korpisalo

2020-21
Koskinen .899 > .894 Korpisalo
