If you think Fox will sign in Buffalo you’re crazy. He just left two teams who’re miles and miles better to play with than the Sabres because he wanted to play in NYR.

fox forced his way to the rangers; he’d just leave buffalo as soon as possible and re-sign there if this happened.

All other things aside, value is fair but obviously Sabres are looking for multiple quality pieces to build for the future, not just one highly elite D-man
