Hard pass on Campbell and Rielly at that hit and term. Those are terrible contracts for us, especially the Campbell one, who we don't even need. Also, no thanks on the Rangers trade. I'd rather see what Veleno can do and keep the 2nd.

Absolutely not from the Isles. Fabbri would be their 13th forward and Dekeyser waived.

Whoa but how does a 31 year old kreider likely starting to decline fit their timeline better than a 22 year old Joe Veleno likely starting to ascend

        J V cost controlled also

        😐

I could see them wanting DeKeyser as a depth guy at the trade deadline, but no way they give up that package for him. Maybe a 6th or 7th round pick, similar to the Coburn trade they made last year.

Fabbri outscored most of their roster by pts/g last year and had a similar pts/g rate to Bailey Lee Eberle... only their 2nd 3rd 4th leading scorers 🧐

Those last two played mostly with Barzal

Fabbri didn't even play that much with Larkin

Rangers absolutely accept the trade, but who knows if Kreider would waive for Detroit... plus, I have no idea why Yzerman would do this. I guess this is a closet Rangers fan tryna help out the team :P

You can't seriously be suggesting that martin clutterbuck Komarov are better options than 25 year old fabbri 😳 like that's just outrageous

And no their chemistry doesn't make up for their huge inadequacies or that they're "the best 4th line around" 🙄🙄🙄 they're all ageing fringe depth at best

Furthermore teams don't need grit lines and even if they were the best grit ever it's still better to have another solid 2nd liner instead of 4th liners

Too many retains anyway. DET only has 2 left. Plus the values are all wrong.

I do like the Hertl signing. That would definitely move things up a little.

Islanders say no, DeKeyser is of no use and we don't have room for Fabbri

Fabbri does not push Lee, Palmeri, Beau, Bailey Wahlstrom or even Parise out of the lineup.

And they are not breaking up the 4th line.

Isles do not want or need Fabbri, and Dekeyser is an 8th D-Man for them.

Komarov is the 16th forward, he won't be on the active roster.

Sure Fabbri is better than Martin or Clutter, but the Isles are not breaking up the 4th line. Seems like the "Grit" type of line is working for them.

So again, the Isles do not need or want Fabbri.
