He'll yeah! I'm so happy for this guy. Been a huge fan since I started watching him in college. He does all the little and less glamorous things, and is thrilled to do so. He wasn't expected to be here but got there with hard work. Tough not to pull for a guy like that.

It's very low risk, because you can bury the whole thing in the minors. That said, over $1 million for a fourth liner is more than most similar contracts.

They see something in him, since they held on to him, a very inexpensive contract too, may be good

To get a guy with even a little breakout potential (which in my opinion, O'Connor has; been interested in him for a while) locked up on a deal like this is a great thing. You know he can at the very least play at the bottom of your lineup, so absolute worst case scenario, you're marginally overpaying a 4th liner. Amazing deal.
