Don't think VGK is willing to give that package for Eichel, let alone Malkin.

Malkin at 4.5 is a good contract. And hed only be getting like 2 million more in the offseason. Maybe I took it a little too far, But Krebs and a 1st have to be in a Malkin deal to the Knights I'd assume

And we’re not willing to part with Krebs for Eichel, why would we for 35 year old Malkin lol

Cause you cant trade for Eichel. His cap hit is too big. If Malkin was to get traded to Vegas what would you give up for him at half retained?

What Malkin we getting cause he didn’t look good most of the year. With his age, I’d do probably a first and an Elvenes type prospect with a player to match cap….I’m just not giving up a ton for a 35 year old player.

Sens: No

Bernard-Docker and Watson are big pieces and we don't need Rust. If it was Pettersson for a 3rd (at most) or Blueger for something, maybe, but other than that, no sorry

Ottawa declines. I imagine they could resign CB for about the same as an extension for Rust would cost, so it would make far more sense to do that and hang on to JBD and their 1st.

You could still sign Barkov or Hertl. Why do pens fans keep trading all these players to collect cap space then go into next season with 12+ million in cap space with lesser teams or overpay for bottom 6 players rather than just spending on the big fish to actually retool and reopen the window?

-NSH doesn't need Pettersson
-Easy no from OTT imo
-EASY no from VGK (and Krebs >>> Poulin)
-Oilers say no cause we'd loose 1st round if Jarry was our starter, lol
