I actually think Binnington, along with Markstrom and MacKenzie Blackwood, has a big year. Losing Vince Dunn hurts (same with the Flames and Giordano), but I think he's still got enough D to excel, if he can regain his "old" form.

The only reason he was good before was because of that elite D core in 2019, after he lost Piet and JB he was lost. With the defence looking worse he’ll most likely decrease.

Question for all: Devon Toews is out for this start of the year, and he's on my fantasy team. My current defensemen are now Pietrangelo, Pionk, Justin Faulk (who I like a lot, he flew under the radar last year) and Parayko with the injured Toews on the bench. Do I cut Parayko and pick up one of the following defensemen-Vince Dunn, Bowen Byram, Matt Grzelcyk, Noah Dobson and Jamie Drysdale-or stay with what I have? (Not committing to switching based on what people answer, but would like to get a general opinion)

Not good news for the Habs: Paul Byron, Mike Hoffman and Carey Price all failed their physicals and all 3 are expected to be out for all of the pre-season.

We already knew Byron was out until like December, Price had an injury but should be back for regular season, so Hoffman is the only real surprise

Confirmed: Evegni Malkin will miss the first two months of the year, per Ron Hextall. I honestly believe the Pens will finish 7th in the Metro.

Interesting, so all arenas at 100% except Vancouver and Montreal, and some cities won't require masks, ugh, great way to transmit it guys

I hope they go captain-less for a few years, or just give it to randomoldguy.jpeg for a year or two because Cozens would realistically be the best choice of captain long term. If Eichel gets dealt there are some other good young leaders they good bring in (for example for the Monahan+Dube+Zary+1st deal, Dube would be a good captain too).

Probably will be in places where A) majority are vaccinated already, or B) Negative Covid tests/proof of vaccination is needed to enter, so no need

I'd still wear a mask in a 100% full arena even if i didn't have to, Arenas seem like a great way to create a superspreader

So basically the investigation about gambling is completed and Kane is cleared. Right as the investigation was about to end, another accusation comes out. Seems kind of fishy….and if the first accusation was wrong…and the second accusation is basically unprovable…come on now
