I’ve got a question, probably no one can answer it…

Do NHL general managers have a website like capfriendly that all gms use? Or how do they know where everyone is on every team?

Well, I would say GM’s probably don’t use CF but I would imagine they all have some type of document with their team info and the league probably has a team database

I guarantee that Capfriendly is used within organizations. There was even a picture or screengrab a few years back of some office of the - I wanna say the Hurricanes, but I could be wrong - and there were multiple screens that had Capfriendly open. I don't blame them either, it's a very convenient tool.

I'm pretty sure they have some kind of web portal.

Matiss Kivlenieks will have his number 80 raised tp the rafters for the whole 2021-22 season
If Suzuki continues to progress, he could get a similar short term deal that Pettersson got - Eric Engels
It's unlikely Marc Bergevin returns. The issue isn't the term, it's the money that Montreal isn't willing to give - Darren Dreger
Looking more and more likely that Chinakov and Sillinger make the Blue Jackets roster - Mark Scheig
Morgan Rielly's next contract could be somewhere between 8-9M - David Pagnotta
Klingberg and Stars are having good contract extension talks - Pierre LeBrun
No extensive contract talks between Hertl and Sharks - Kevin Kurz
Phil Kessel is open to a fresh start and is willing to compete to earn a new deal somewhere - Darren Dreger

Brady Tkachuk is not read to sign a 7-8 year deal with the Senators yet - Elliotte Friedman
The Senators rather do a 7-8 year term with Tkachuk rather than 1-2 year deal - Andy Strickland
The Senators lack of communication with Brady Tkachuk is why he hasn't signed yet - Andy Strickland

The Rangers would support Eichel's preferred surgery if they acquire him - Nick Kypreos
Flames was really big on Eichel and tried very hard to acquire him from Buffalo - Elliotte Friedman
Vegas and Buffalo can't make a trade for Eichel because Sabres want Krebs and Vegas is not willing to trade him - Elliotte Friedman

I’m not so sure. Unless he gets like 90 points this year (or 40 goals) I can’t see him getting much more than DeBrincat on a 3 year deal. Pettersson was well above Suzuki in points per game in his first 3 seasons, same with Barzal who got 3x7*. If he continues to be around 60 points, IMO mid to high 7s on a 6 year deal seems reasonable. And on a 3 year deal around $6.5 million makes sense.

*They were around the same in year too but Barzal was back around a point per game in year 3.

Korenar has been sent down by the Coyotes. Wonder who will backup Hutton now? Prosvetov or Vejmelka?

Sure I have an 8 page paper on a book I haven’t started reading yet, a test and a class presentation all due this week but that’s not gonna stop me from working on a ranking of all 32 teams roster post

If I'm thinking of the same scene as you, I'm pretty sure it was Pridham. I was gonna mention that but I didn't know for sure if it was CF on his screen.

Really Molson, come on Bergevin has been a pretty good GM, just give him the money man. No way Suzuki gets Pettersson money unless he has 100+ points

I still remember all the people who were believing that dumb f*ck clickbater in Pagnotta who was saying that Klingberg was getting shopped in a potential Jones deal and that the contract negotiations were not going good over our actual insider in Saad Yousef who was saying the negotiations were going good. Now that LeBrun has confirmed it, whatever Pagnotta said has no credibility at all, frankly he shouldn’t have any credibility at all at anything he says.

I wonder if Panik will get claimed. He was overpaid at 2.75 mill but Detroit retained 50% . I’d say 1.375 is fair for what he brings.

So out of all the players on waivers today, I could see Chris Wagner, Gambrell, Logan Brown, Michal Kempny, Anthony Angello and Panik get claimed

If Panik aint taken then yeah IDK anymore lul

Also surprised Kempny got waived considering Washington traded Dillion to keep him.

Should have paid to dump him then kept Dillon

I'd claim Gambrell, Logan Brown, and Kempny before claiming Panik

If I’m SJS I’m claiming Logan Brown 9.9/10

Replacing Gambrell if he gets claimed makes even more sense to claim Brown. Brown would easily have a shot at a roster shot this season. He’s only behind:

Weatherby (first pro season rookie)
Pedersen (AHL pp/g 2 season, this will be his biggest challenge)
Brown (assuming Gambrell is claimed)

Other than that he’s right there. Because I think Gambrell will be claimed.
