Dubnyk's still available. Hes not good but he is a former starter so he and Allen can split games more evenly

I'd rather not, Dubnyk is old and at this point, a 3rd goalie at best

So is Scott Wedgewood the best goalie who will be placed on waivers? Because I’d like for the habs to claim him as an upgrade over Montembeault.

With the situation NJ may get something out of Wedgewood rather than lose him for nothing. Would not be surprised if Bergevin calls them rn and offers them a 5th round pick or something.

As probably Arizona or Buffalo would grab him first per the waiver list.

Buffalo waived Dell, so they're running with Tokarski, Anderson lol, Arizona might but we'll see

Buffalo and Arizona has their goalies, and they’re not trying to win.

If Bergevin gives up assets for a goalie, it will be for someone better than Wedgewood.

Colorado could be in the mix for him as well.

Max Domi is like 2 months ahead of his return timetable now, good for him, this also will fuel Eichel to CBJ forever

Hmm idk never heard/ paid attention to the kid but here’s a good quote from Dobber

May 2021- Heavy set, a hard work ethic, and the ability to capitalize on scoring chances, especially in front of the net; these are just some of the attributes which have made Gadjovich a worthy prospect during his come-up. There was just one element lacking, likely one that stood in the way of him not only seeing top-six minutes in Utica but make the transition into an NHL player – his skating. That all changed during the 2020 off-season, and thus, so did his utilization. After polishing his edge work and stamina during the Covid break, he posted his best statistical season to date, notching 15 goals – finishing second among U23 skaters – and 18 points in just a 19 game span. Already known for his heavy netfront presence, the off-season workload allowed him to enjoy consistent minutes as a top-six, first-unit powerplay contributor. His efforts awarded him his first look in a Canucks uniform where, despite playing just 4:55 of time during his lone game, he combined for 17-minutes of penalties. His growth continues to trend upward and could contend for a spot on the Canucks roster come 2021-22, likely as a bottom-six banger. Dave Hall

With Dobber projecting him to be a 2nd line player currently. (As his ceiling)

He definitely seems like a better version of Viel and he’s done well on the AHL production wise. Definitely is gonna see a game this preseason I would say (depending on travel restrictions). Good claim for both a NHL contender spot and AHL top 6.

Canucks Twitter doesn’t seem happy about the waive/ claim

Edit: Additionally I’m kinda pissed about Raska being sent down but I see the idea; if Gadjovich comes in and already is ahead of Raska with a very similar style then Raska gets more time to development professionally and Gadjovich would be an immediate use.

Dahlen - Couture - Meier
Eklund - Hertl - Balcers/ Barabanov
Balcers/ Barabanov - Bonino - Labanc
Nieto - Weatherby/ Gambrell/ Pedersen - Gadjovich

With the losers of the Center battles being the scratches. Followed by replacements in Chmelevski and Raska/ Viel as next in line.

What I think the Devils lineup should be
Tatar-Hughes-Sharangovich
Zacha-Hischier-Bratt
Kuokkanen-Mercer-Holtz
Wood-McLeod-Johnsson

Graves-Hamilton
Smith-Severson
Siegenthaler/Bahl-Subban

Blackwood
Bernier

What about Vesey?

Devils should roster 3 goalies just to keep Wedgewood from being claimed. His trade value will only increase as teams deal with injuries.

Imagine thinking Seth Jones is a top 3 player for your country when he’s only at best your 3rd best right handed defenseman, arguably 4th behind carlson

In fairness, they never said the first 3 players were the best players, right? They picked Seth Jones for a variety of reasons.

The variety should come down to best, most marketable, and likely the captains. Canada flexed with Sid, McD, and Petro, and even that was sketchy (Petro’s obviously making it, but Mack woulda been better), but compared to that, the inclusion of Jones is almost pathetic. He’s just not on the same tier. He’s camp invite, maybe 3rd pair material, not captain and showboating material.

I think you should swap Kuokkanen with Wood. Wood isn't a good fit on a 4th line

Wood played great on the 4th line last year next to Mcleod.

And btw, you should really enjoy Mercer. I live in Quebec and he is hands down one of the bets players to come out of the Q in the last decade, MacKinnon being of course another one of them

Mercer is a stud

I hope he doesn't get claimed. We need an additional goalie when we go to Canada

Johnsson and Vesey could be interchangeable
I think they'll give the nod to Johnsson

Then you'd probably run 3 goalies when Canada trips are close

I don't watch the Sabres religiously, but I seem to recall him playing the left half wall/circle area quite often.

The left side is definitely the area where the majority of his shots come from on the PP, anyways.

Exact same spot as Stamkos. Left side feed him the puck and he goes for the one timer
