Calgary last season in the Canadian division had an amazing offseason adding Tanev, Markstrom, among other solid players. But the results were not what they hoped and they missed the playoffs as nothing clicked.
Chicago during this offseason added Fleury, McCabe, Jones, etc yet despite that like what happened with Calgary the results are not reflecting that and ironically Chicago is looking worse. Oh and forgot to mention Dach and Toews are back.

Yeah I see your point. They also got Toews and Dach after missing the entire season. On paper, they're a top tier offensive team. They should be a playoff team with this roster, imo.
I knew the isles would have a rough start to the season- every year Trotz pulls some stupid sh*t. This season it’s Chara and Greene in the lineup at the same time.

chara being -4 and pelech being 0 with only a minute difference in time of ice is very cool and good.
Can't believe people were counting him out after his rookie year (HE WAS ONLY 18)
I cant wait for Mercer and Holtz to be Hughes' wing. That's gonna be a scary line
He was only 18 and he looked like he was 12, haha. It's been a long road to rebuild this team from the ground up. Lots of depth. Lots of character. Fun to watch.

Playing two of the best teams in the entire league on the road in their first 2 games is tough.
I don't get his fascination with giving old players extended minutes while passing over younger players like Wahlstrom and Mayfield. Makes no sense.
Trotz usually plays guys who he respects until it gets so bad he’s forced to make a change. I’ll take another few losses if it means they’ll give one of their young Ld a shot .
