IMO Dube has the potential to be as good as Nylander right now.

- He plays the perfect "Trotz" way in terms of his hustle and forechecking/backchecking
- A possible budding 30 goal scorer
- Just scored the biggest goal in recent Islander history
- Just resigned Beau to a 3 year deal
- We don't need the 1st round pick
- Kerfoot stinks

Leafs in a win mode decline both trades. Not enough for Nylander....who might have been the Leafs best forward last playoffs.

Nylander has already proven to be a player good for 60+ points a year, which is higher than where I see Dube peaking

I agree on the Kerfoot part. He also stepped in and put up some pretty decent offensive numbers in JTs absence in the playoffs. But I also agree that the Isles aren't trading Beau.

Kerfoot was used in a shutdown role last season. This year he won't be (I hope)

The only way the isles trade Beauivillier is if Nylander comes back the other way instead of Kerfoot and a first . The isles would add a second round pick for equal compensation . Beauviller is a top 6 winger and has potential to put up the same goal totals as Nylander with worse linemates being Bailey and Nelson.

Terrible value for nylander but flames take and run throw in a second round pick too
