Why? Maybe without Jarvis included, it's realistic, but that dude is made of glass and he's always on IR. At least Jarvis is still only 19. Nothing else is a real loss

I admit that I sometimes overshoot on prospect value in trades. I find Tuch to be quite the valuable two-way force, however.

I dont think we move Tuch, but if we did I would imagine that Buffalo would prefer him (local guy that can be sold to the fans) than the package your sending them.

That might make sense. This is nothing against you by the way, propsects are a well known crabshoot. Who knew who Jordan Binnington was 4 years ago? But Jarvis is the one gripe I have here. Literally, Suzuki or anyone else makes sense, but with Tuch's injury issues, I'd be hurt moving Jarvis for him

I just think that Buffalo, if they're trading Eichel, are not looking to win right now in any circumstances. As good as Tuch is, he's basically a right-now piece that's locked in throughout his prime years. That screams Carolina, not Buffalo.

Fair enough. That contract of Tuch would be more beneficial to them too

I love the canes and I love Vegas, but why would the canes want to help an already elite team in Vegas get better? Canes are trying to win now, and so is Vegas. This would make sense for Vegas, but not for the Canes.

Because the Vegas FO and the Canes FO are on pretty good terms, and I doubt that Buffalo wants to trade Eichel to another Eastern team. So, you make do and acquire the next best thing.

Tuch is a bit overrated. He’s a high end 3rd liner. His QoC is usually rather low. If your trading for him to play top 6 you have to be a bit worried if he can maintain his production vs better competition. He’s definitely not worth a high end prospect tho.
