making this deal makes them a more competitive team, but if they are not ready to take the next step then they can most likely flip Zucker for more than a 2nd at the dealine because I have a feeling he will bounce back in Detroit because they have way less puck possessing skill players that Zucker cant mesh with

I guess it really all depends on Zucker, right? If we get last season's Zucker then Namestnikov isn't really a drop off.

Good point and petty hasn’t been a liability at all but it seems like management favours matheson over him
