Minnesota, and the rest of the NHL, still want nothing to do with Byron. Arz likes 2nd rd picks. Maybe the deadline would be the time for Byron and a 2nd to Arz...

If the offer is Lehkonen, the Ducks keep Getzlaf.

He passed thru waivers three (3) times last year. His real value is pay to trade...

That's also ignoring he's under contract for next year when Parise/Suter dead cap goes up and Benn was just signed by the Wild so they're not trading him before he plays a game for them.

he was put through waiver for cap relief not hockey related situation .... you need to read to understand MTL market. Byron is top 10 nhl in PK situation and can bring excellent offensive to any team but @Jaytea is right for Minnesota it's irrelevant to get such contract in there cap crunch situation !!

Another left-handed Winger the Ducks don't really need. And giving up one of (if not the) best player in franchise history for that and preventing him from retiring as a Duck is not something the Ducks would or should do.

can respect the retirement figure aspect you bring, but Lehkonen is versatile and play boths sides as a beast for defensive coverage and PK !

Still doesn't make sense from Minnesota's perspective. They don't need another winger at the expense of depth at defense which they suddenly don't have a lot of. They definitely don't need a $2.4m depth winger next year when they have around $12m in dead cap from Parise/Suter.
