Tampa has their share of 10 ish mil players already.

                    Vegas couldn't fill A 20 man roster.

He'd waive for just about any team for a chance to see the playoffs besides on TV. The return is where the NMC comes into play...

At this point, I feel like he'll waive for any team at all. He just wants out, period.

Power, Quinn, Wright, Dahlin is like Edmonton 2.0 from a few years ago, and then they still don't manage to get past the first round and trade cozens for a 2nd pair D, hahaha.
Also I still really think LA is a dark horse for Eichel, Kopitar is almost done and then you got part of a rebuild done with Eichel and Byfield down the middle.

He might never get traded! They can’t even agree on which surgery to have. Until he does get it he’s not going anywhere. Sabres aren’t selling for pennies on the dollar!

                    7 teams.

                    Philly is not included.

Eichel to Tampa would have to involve significant retention on Buffalo's part. Probably a nonstarter.

Buffalo won't be able to trade him until he is healthy and their GM stops asking for a ridicules return for him. 4 first round players/picks is way to much for a healthy Eichel.

2022 draft makes the most sense to trade him

he has as 7.5m signing bonus on july 1. Teams will grind the sabres down to take less value in trade bc they dont want to pay that SB on july 1 or sabres re going to hve to wait till after July 1 when they pay it but his NMC kicks in

Sabres really put themselves in teh worst position possible with Jack and his trade value

Ottawa said they're done with the rebuild so why not waive there? My Oilers he would like. Imagine Eichel and McDavid lol. I think the only teams he should avoid are Flames, Coyotes, Sharks, Columbus, and Anaheim. But just getting out should motivate him enough to waive for anyone

Even with the no movement clause in play where he wants to go is irrelevant. The Sabres should only be telling him which team has made the best offer when they ask him to waive his No movement clause, the return is also irrelevant to him. He doesn’t get to dictate which teams they negotiate with, he gets to say yes or no to the team with the final best offer.

                    1. Taylor Hall wanted to go to Boston and only Boston.

                    He had an NMC.

Saying where Eichel wants to go when the NMC comes into play next year is, in fact, relevant.

                    2. Why would Eichel care about "which team made the best offer"?

If he doesn't want to play for that team, he invokes his NMC when it comes into effect.

                    Simple.

                    3. Negotiating with a team on a trade for Eichel past July 1st when Eichel won't even waive his NMC for that team is a pointless exercise and a waste of time.

The Taylor Hall trade to Boston proves it.

He gets to say no to any team he wants after July 1st, not only which team makes "the best final offer".

You’re wrong. Taylor Hall had an expiring UFA contract, Jack Eichel has an existing multi year contract. The Sabres have no reason to be in a hurry to move him at any point. If the offer is no good they don’t have to accept it. If he doesn’t like the trade they want to accept they still don’t have to move him where he wants to go. They might ask him which teams do you want to play for, and focus on negotiating with them. But it would simply be stupid to let the other teams know how many other options there are or aren’t. You work to get the best offer possible regardless of who you’re talking to. The point is not that he gives a **** who made the best offer, just that the team should only present to him the trade or trades they are prepared to accept. Like most of the people here I believe he will accept multiple destinations, and it’s the Sabres duty to the franchise not to get fleeced in return for him. The longer this drags out the more likely I think he just accepts the trade the Sabres are willing to make.

                    1. I'm right and you're wrong.

If you have an NMC that is currently in effect, you're allowed to invoke it every time your team tries to move you.

It doesn't matter how long the contract is.

If he doesn't like the team he's being traded to after July 1st, Eichel just shoots it down.

I can't believe I needed to explain that to you.

                    2. I never said the Sabres are in a hurry.

I'm saying it would be wise to trade Eichel somewhere before his NMC kicks in before July 1st.

Once July 1st rolls around, Eichel can veto any trade that the Sabres try to make for him.

At that point, the only teams that Buffalo can trade Eichel to are the teams of Eichel's choosing.

How do you not understand this??

                    3. If this drags past July 1st, Eichel only accepts a trade to a team he likes.

Eichel won't even accept the type of neck surgery that the Sabres want.

It has resulted in a standoff that has gone on for months.

And you think Eichel will just accept whatever trade the Sabres try to make when his NMC comes into play??

                    Are you really that gullible??

There’s nothing gullible about the reality that the Sabres could tell him to kick rocks for the next five years. Would it be a good idea? No, but they could do it. I expect that he gets traded before the no movement clause comes into play, but he just doesn’t have to be. Eventually, shooting down every possible trade scenario doesn’t help him. He can’t force the Sabres to trade him, he only gets to veto a trade he doesn’t like. If he wants to continue his career he needs to move on and accept whatever trade is presented, the Sabres don’t have to trade him at all. At this point he is a non-asset to the team. The team hasn’t done anything with him on the ice, they can’t really be that much worse without him. Trading him for less than he’s worth only helps him. If it came down to it playing a game of contract chicken for the next five years hurts him more than the Sabres. They can’t ruin their reputation around the league, it doesn’t get worse than right now. You don’t get lower than rock-bottom. In a way the Sabres are playing with House money, they have nothing left to lose.
