I think I share the same view as majority of the fanbase, as someone who's not really looking forward to the season because we are fielding the same team as before that hasn't shown much character.

Even though from a statistical point of view, the GM has made all the right moves and put together a deeper, more complete team than ever before, it still doesn't give you much hope because of the weak mentality of the top players. For me, that's the only thing holding them back at this point. Everything else has been addressed.

Only things I'd do is to trade Mikheyev & Dermott for a more proven defenceman, since we have enough forward depth already. And sign Galchenyuk, I thought he proved himself enough to warrant another contract.
