Description
The center depth looks real nice and fa ge mo will be a 30 goal scorer I think with the right opportunity. In this scenario they get flip the Bruins pick with the 2nd and something else to move up in the draft to pick Cooley.

Almost everything but Hertl is an overpay and very one sided to the sharks.
I would take a much less drastic revamp but I agree we need to take some logical steps toward the future.

This. Is.... DREAM. No honestly, sign me up please.

Except for the Hagg signing (why?). And we need to trade Simek.

I'd still pass on the Bob deal too. It's good value, but if SJ wants to compete in their 'reset', that 10mil cap space should be more valuable than the two 1sts to sign some immediate-impact UFAs.

Shane Wright likely will be picked 1st overall
Logan Cooley is probably a top-10, if not, top-5 pick.

I don't know which pick is Boston's and which is San Jose's...but I don't think Boston would trade for a rental like Hertl if they are headed for a top-10 pick.

I actually don't mind Burns at $4M. I think there are better options on the UFA market next offseason, but at $4M for what would be the next 3 years I don't hate it. I like it a hell of a lot more than giving Suter a $4M+ contract for 4 years with a full NMC. I'd certainly scour the UFA market first, but if I was in NEED of a 2RD, I wouldn't hate this IF AND ONLY IF the Sharks are retaining 50% (which I don't see them doing).

They are not in this scenario. Didn’t you read what I wrote? They trade up with the 2nd+something else to get that top 10 pick
