Have ya heard?
Eichel is injured and out of commission.
Herniated disc in his neck.
He needs surgery but hasn’t even had it yet and season starts in 3 weeks.
He wants an artificial disc replacement.
The team doctors don’t want him to risk that surgery, they want him to have a c spine fusion, which is the most relied on and less experimental/risky procedure.
Either way, he will be out for a lot longer and there is no guarantee he will fully heal and be the same player he was.
No trade has happened for him, because no team is willing to give up pre-injury asset return to get in return a big fat question mark.

Have you heard that the disk replacement he wants has a 92% success rate? Have you heard that it has a recovery time of only 6 weeks (excluding getting into game fitness)? Did you know that the rescue surgery if it fails is the one the Sabres want? There's no risk with him if he has the surgery. He might not be the same player, sure... but there's also a 92% chance he is...

Could even trade Trocheck at TD and have Eichel replace him at the playoffs if you can survive without him for 20 games. But I think someone should do it. Man would that be a good team and it would be kinda funny with everyone doing a Tampa lmao

Bokk, Suzuki, Jarvis, and the 2023 1st round pick (CAR) are fine enough

Yeah, I guess you’ve committed the Kevyn Adams talking points & sales pitch to memory. Keep thinking that and singing that same song. I on the other hand am not swallowing that kool aid. I hope the best for Eichel, but he just is not worth that package now.
