1. Is Boyd really an upgrade on Gagner? If so, it's extremely marginal.
2. Arizona isn't giving up their first-round pick in a trade like this. Maybe not for any trade, tbh

1. Brodin has a NMC and shuts this deal down.
2. No way Guerin would even consider that trade. It definitely makes us worse both now and long term. Both Leddy and Staal are older than Brodin and they are rentals whereas Brodin is just starting a 7 year extension. They're both also worse than Brodin. I don't see 1 year of Staal and Brodin coming close to outweighing 7 years of Brodin even considering we're swapping a 3rd for a 1st in the deal.
