That seems a bit more fair.

It’s an interesting idea, but I would never add next year‘s first to the deal. Eichel is still worth more than Pettersson because he has a contract in place, not him and Hughes combined, but it’s fair to think that Dahlin and Hughes are almost even, especially since Dahlin already has a bridge deal. I don’t think Buffalo would do it even without the first rounder in play, because Dahlin really likes it in Buffalo and wants to stay.

When healthy Eichel is better than Pettersson
Dahlin has a higher ceiling than Hughes because hes a true 2-way Dman unlike Quinn who is all offense
The Sabres will be dead last, 2022 1st is off the table

NO from Vancouver. Not taking Captain/No Captain Neck and lesser Hughes.

You're essentially asking Vancouver to become Buffalo with this trade. Why would they do this?!

What ifs mean nothing. You're getting proven elite winners for problem child/injury risk and a loser with question marks that maybe could be at Hughes level. This is why your fanbase and management group are delusional. Come back to reality. Look at your team, their results, and now, your perceived worth of said assets. Thats called delusion

What...
Neither Pettersson or Hughes are "winners" they haven't had much more success than Eichel or Dahlin have. Simply making the playoffs isn't success, winning the Stanley Cup is. Seeing as neither have signed yet and are still holding out you cannot tell me they are team guys who just want to win... It appears as if they want to be paid more than anything else. And lol you can call Eichel and Dahlin whatever you want but the fact of the matter is Eichel is a true game changer, Pettersson is not, at least not yet. Dahlin has struggled but at least he can occasionally keep the puck out of his own net! tears of joy
