Description
There are some big new faces on the Red Wings, and they are most likely a true playoff contender and a few piece away from being a Cup favourite. Many of today’s prospects will be in the lineup now. These prospects will have developed into NHL stars Filip Zadina has finally broken out into a 30 plus goal scorer. Also the Wings make a trade so Larkin’s friend Zach Werenski can come home.

If the defensive prospects pan out, that could be one of the best home-grown defenses in the league. Reminds me of NSH from a few years ago.

Edvinsson - Seider
Wallinder - Hronek
McIsaac - Lindstrom

Really exciting future on defense.

Is the trade an overpay, probably but Columbus still declines. It’s quantity when Columbus needs quality. A Werenski trade probably has to include Edvinsson and a 1st to get Columbus to even consider making said trade, look at the Jones trade for a comparable for what Jarmo would accept for Werenski.

Well a horrible reason to trade for a guy.... Might be better ways to spend 9.5m X 5 and keep your assets too.

Albert Johansson is currently just as good as Edvinsson is and he's much, much better than Wallinder.

Even better.

I just went with what OP originally had before he made the Werenski trade.

McIsaac left Saturdays prospect tournament game on a stretcher with about 5 min left in the 2nd. The refs chose to end the period there and the time was added to the 3rd period. They said he lost consciousness but he was alert and had feeling in all of his extremities.

Oh, that's awful. Hopefully he's able to recover to 100%.

Johansson is more developed and closer to playing in the NHL mostly because of his age and experience but I wouldn't say better.
