Joseph will more than suffice as our 3LW. No need to go out dropping a 1st on Olofsson.

LW option : Killorn Palat Barré-Goulet Joseph Maroon Smith Katchouk

You know despite not being a full time center anymore, Stamkos has become great in the faceoff dot.

Good lord thats awful for buffalo. A late first isnt even enough to take seabrook, let alone actually get a retained olofsson.

I think he will improve and show a lot in a more expanded role. I feel like there is more offense there and he’s already pretty solid defensively.

We're talking about Joseph here, right?

Tampa does not need this, Stamkos will play wing not center and they can give a rookie a shot at 3rd line wing

Not sure why either team does this
Some fun facts to consider.
First, Olofsson is not the only part of the trade, Buffalo is also taking over $6,000,000 of cap.
I know one will say that he will be put on LTIR, but that means the Bolts will not have any space to pick up a spare part at the TDL.
Second, Olofsson had nearly 10% of all of Buffalo's goals, that is higher percentage than any current Bolt scored last year.
Third, I know this is hard to believe but Victor also had more assists than ANY other Sabre, playing on a team that had nearly on goal less per game than the Bolts.
Fourth, that precious first round pick could easily be the 32nd again, not much to pay for a forward who has 35 goals in his first 116 NHL goals.
Finally, While many responded Olofsson is not needed, most Bolt AVGM thought it was too much while all the Sabres thought taking on Seabrook alone was worth a first round pick.
I think after listening to the comments from both sides, Buffalo is losing this trade badly, giving up goals while taking on salary. Tampa wins easily dumping salary while picking up goals for only a late first.
