So, this came down to Jost & Nuke being a great pair. Newhook is better than Jost. So I played some bottom six musical chairs

Ironically Pavelski could have had 2 cups by now lul

As the 2 teams he was deciding on were Tampa and Dallas. He went to Dallas as they gave him more money

Dallas will have a good team this year if they can stay healthy. Bowness is really the main thing holding them back. And Rado hasn’t shown they can get the job done in the playoffs yet. If the Stars are out of the playoffs and Pavs produces like he did last year I’d want more quality than quantity for him

I did not know TBL courted him. He's a warrior either way.

if it came down to it, I'd offer top prospect Sampo Ranta and a 3rd

Ranta isn’t a top prospect. He’s a third line winger in the NHL til he proves otherwise. Which isn’t likely as his offense is very one dimensional. Finnish Janmark. If Sampo finds success it will be because of strong line mates. Obviously Newhook is a non starter. I like Kaut and we do need help at RW, but I feel like that offer isn’t good enough. The third round pick covers the salary retention. Beaucage is a b prospect. There’s some upside there but like Ranta hasn’t shown anything yet. So like I said if Pavs produces like he did last year I’m pretty sure another team will offer a better main piece than Kaut or Ranta. To be fair Kaut and/or Ranta might show something by the TDL

You kinda justified my offers. The Avs' top F prospects may not be as sexy as other teams, but its not a given Pavelski would command better, especially with Forsberg available too. In prior seasons, the demand might be higher, but given how last year's TDL went, it seems like rentals price is lower.

Watch him get traded to the Pens for a 4th and Teddy Blueger, lol.

Nothing normal about last year. Ideally Stars are in the playoffs and he isn’t for sale anyways
