Eakin wasn't a good fit when he was in Winnipeg the last time. The Jets have better and cheaper options (even after the Sabres salary retention) for the 4th line.

Not only did these trades put the Sabres beneath the cap floor, Come the trade deadline I still have to think that the Sabres can get more for Butcher than a sixth round pick.

Eakin is interesting. He is beyond awful, but i see people on here suggesting that he has at least minimal value. After watching him last year, i would think we have to pay to move him.

He was awful for the Sabres but before then he was considered a solid bottom six center - I still think Hall, Eichel, Reinhart on paper looks like a good line - I liked the moves KA made last year but none of it worked out , it just seems there is negative energy in Buffalo so players play worse here .
