Carolina wouldn’t do Staal straight up for Kane even if Kane had no issues. With his issues, no one is taking him unless they’re guaranteed they don’t have to have him travel with the team, and you fairly compensate them for the $28 million in dead cap that you’re dumping onto them.

I can guarantee no team would ever be willing to give up that much for Evander Kane. I know he’s skilled, but his value is extremely low, just like DeAngelo

The difference is that if DeAngelo keeps his mouth shut and stays off of social media, he has a great chance to revive his career. Kane on the other hand has really dug himself a huge hole and may never get out of it.

I wouldn’t trade DeAngelo straight up for Kane, his issues and awful contract.

Why do sharks fans think there’s 1. A trade out there that could even be made for Kane, and 2. A trade is out there, and it’s a trade they’ll somehow win by a wide margin
