PIT would have to add a sweetener or two, since Zucker’s play has declined, and they’re taking on two years of him; but, I wouldn’t be opposed to this as a start to something.

Maybe Bjorkqvist - Zucker - 5th for Domi - 4th?

If Columbus were to make this trade they would need to make sure that Domi’s center position was filled, and with having Laine, Voracek, Nyquist, Bjorkstrand, Robinson, Texier, Bremstrom, and Foudy as wings already signed and needing ice time it’s fair to say they don’t really need another wing.

I know Pittsburgh fans really want this trade to happen, but for Columbus there’s no reason to make it, they don’t really have room for Zucker on the wing this year and as a team they are trying to get younger so playing guys like Texier, Bremstrom, Foudy, and Chinakov, will be benefit them more in the long term than acquiring Zucker.

So maybe a 3 way type team where Zucker is sent to a contender with Columbus retaining some of Zuckers cap and Columbus gets picks and prospects for it?

Good point on the whole here...I of course look at Zucker as a reclamation/ flip project, but would prefer to move him sooner rather than later, such that a 3-way (nice) is probably the better option. If we could rope in a third team to give a decent package for Zucker, then we could probably swap Domi to PIT for a 3rd, maybe pull a good prospect/ 2nd rounder to retain on Zucker. Probably wishful thinking, and I'm still reticent to think of a team willing to take two years of Zucker (and for CBJ to take on a sizable chunk for Zucker), but we'll see.

As for the above offer...it'd have to be better than Bjorkqvist. You have a guy who is 24, has yet to play an NHL game, and has all in all not looked terribly impressive in the AHL.
