How does Mayfield get a better return (by quite a bit) than Toews?

yes, and it isn’t close. Toews was arguably a top 20 dman this past year

Why don’t you throw in a Höglander or Podkolzin while you’re at it? wink

I dont think its comparable. Toews had to be moved bc he was getting to arbitration and lou was scared of a barzal offersheet. So he was going to trade him no matter what and was taking the best deal that he was offered.

Not sure if this was a coincidence or not, but that's the exact value we got for Hamonic.

Never. You can have Juolevi and a 1st. But no Hogz or Podz. They are part of our elite 3rd line wink

Haha, just kidding, I don´t think Mayfield is worth close to a 1st and two 2nds. He´s mostly valuable because of his caphit. But I would take that package any day wink

At this point the 1st rounder is just to get rid of Juolevi.. he's been such a disappointment and has failed to take his last chance seriously. Part of me believes he thinks he's elite, but just isn't given the chance... even though Greener has given him way too many chances. Plus two years at 1.45M for a serviceable RD? Those types of deals haven't existed in the Benning era. TAKE MY MONEY!

Haha you don’t have to pay for get rid of Juolevi though, and he’s not on any bad contract or so. But yeah, we (Isles fans) knows pretty well how it feels drafting **** at top-5. Niederreiter, Strome, Reinhart, Dal Colle, ultimately Tavares because he left for free, DiPietro and so forth. Wasn’t there a rumour Juolevi played Fortnite too much or something lol?

I played fortnite with him... Trust, he played way too much. An yes, we don't have to overpay to have him leave - I just want him gone. He has done nothing but slow down the development of other prospects and hindered the chances we've given other D-men out of hope he will play good. He needs the shock of getting traded to kick him back into shape

Haha lol. He could need the Lou and Trotz treatment and learn how to be a professional. I don’t get why Benning let Stecher leave for free? Solid, cheap defensive d… Any news regarding Hamonic btw? Last day of opting out…

I think Jack Rathbone atleast looks somewhat exciting in your bottom-6. Myers, Hamonic, OEL, Poolman is a mess on paper. Though I really believe OEL will be much better then last year, but that’s not saying much haha.
