Rangers just traded Buchnevich for Blais and a 2nd round pick to avoid paying a $5.8 mil cap hit to resign him. No way they trade for a similar player like Boeser.

Agreed. Now if it were Horvat it might be different because he's a center. But Canucks would probably say no.

Montreal has no need for Juolovi as he is not an upgrade on any of Edmundson, Chiatot, Romanov, Kulak or Norlinder and we already have Guhle, Struble Harris and Fairbrother waiting in the weeds. We also have no need for Poolman as he is notan upgrade on any of Petry, Weber (if he returns), Savard, Niku or Wideman. For these reasons Montreal passes.

Boeser has way outperformed buchnevich in their careers. That's a bad deal for Vancouver.

He didn’t out perform him last season and he won’t again this season. This would be an absolute horrible deal for the Rangers. The market value for Boeser right now is exactly what the Rangers got for Buchnevich, which is much less value than the return for this proposed trade.
