Why would the Oilers make that trade?
we already have a surplus of good forwards

You wouldn’t trade a healthy Eichel for Kakko and Lundkvist? Even Eichel while injured is still a lot better. Rangers would still even have Schneider who is a really good prospect he may even be better than Lundkvist.

Kakko is a bust. That’s what I think. At this point , I don’t even think Laf is as good as he was hyped up to be when he was drafted

Can't see Buffalo caving an accepting that little for Eichel

You light it up against men as a 17 year old but can’t adapt to the NHL for 2 years?

Hes already elite defensively and drives play at the level of a top 6 F, the points aren't there because DQ gave him no power play time and played him 10 minutes a night

1 Eichel isn't healthy so moot point

2 Lundkvist has a much higher ceiling than Schneider

2 different leagues. zero development time in North America - thrown right into the NHL style. NA game is bigger, faster and stronger.
if Gorton wasn't pressured by that asshat of an owner, KK would have started his career in the AHL.

I’m really not a fan of playing skilled players with grinders, it truly kills their development

KK has improved year after year. his play on the defensive side of the puck is extremely strong.
i think this year he will have a breakout year with points. he has been used incorrectly since day one - splitting time between the 3rd and 4th line with no consistency.
he should be able to find this offensive game playing with Strome and Panarin in the top 6.

he put on 7-10 LBS of muscle this summer, he will come around.
60-70 points is my guess.
