Not a fan of this from the Colorado perspective. The top 4 should be really set with Makar, Girard, Toews, and Byram. Having a young (and cheap) player like Barron behind them makes more sense than bringing in someone else (imo).

Zero chance of Julien Brisebois trading Erik Cernak anytime soon. Makes absolutely zero sense for Tampa.

Don't love it for either. It would be a log jam of Colorado's D and Tampa doesn't need to trade him.

I like Cernak, but how do you figure that BB is only going to get 900K in 2 years. I thought he is going to slot in our top 4 during that stretch, not disappear to the KHL or something. Pretty sure he's going to want more than that. So as before they need the cheap talent for depth. Doesn't work for COL.

Why do either side do this? Lightning need cernak for their playoff runs and avs have something in Barron already, he will be part of their line up on his elc,
