Description

Just throwing ideas at the wall... I DO NOT want this trade to actually happen for the Canucks.

But if it did, I'd lock up Hughes and give Tkachuk a 3 year bridge to make him earn the big bucks after Myers' deal expires. I added picks in the deal coming to the Canucks, but I don't know if it's too little or too much to even up the value.

I don't want this trade to actually happen for the Senators either.

All Ottawa is doing here is trading one struggle of signing a key player for another.

Also, if you are signing Brady to a 3 year contract, it will be the exact same as the one that his brother Matthew has with the Calgary Flames.

He won't accept anything less than that.

Pay him $8m x 8 years with all the bonuses he wants.
If a bridge is $6m or $7m...wouldn't be a ton of savings.

Then dump him onto some other team's lap because he's not worth it. He's not as good nor ever has been as good as his brother, has the results that show that, and doesn't deserve anywhere close to $7M on a short-term deal. That's long-term money, and anybody who thinks otherwise needs to get over some heavy bias.
