This doesn’t make sense for Vancouver. I agree that Dahlin is better than Hughes, but Dahlin is pretty flawed too. He’s also not group 2, so he has way more negotiating leverage. Because of that, their value is probably close to equal.
Then you have 8 years of Pettersson at 9, vs 4 years of Eichel at 10. Pettersson is arguably better, is way way more likely to be productive given the injury stuff, and has way fewer question marks.

This is just a really bad concept for vancouver

Vancouver fans seem to have lied to themselves enough that they actually think Hughes is a stud.

Dahlin>Hughes

Debatable

Both have been garbage defensively on defensively garbage teams. Hughes>Dahling offensively but it’s way too early. They’ve only played like 2-3 seasons

Dahlin is better defensively. Quinn is better offensively. Dahlin has more potential too. I rather have Dahlin over Hughes tbh

No thanks. Doesn't make us any better and no way Vancouver would trade Petey or Hughes for Eichel when his health and status is so unclear

Please someone, anyone, explain which areas of hockey Dahlin has been better at than Hughes since entering the NHL.

Dahlin can play both offense and defense, Hughes only offense he sucks defensively.

In a nutshell, playing anything but the powerplay. Hughes is legitimately one of the worst 5 on 5 d men in the NHL.
