Thing is Larsson was leaving regardless of what the Oilers offered him, for personal reasons.

Also why undo the Barrie deal? Its an incredible deal for the leading dman scorer in the league. He was a great fit last year.

The Nadelkjovic deal would have been sweet. Missed the boat on that one

Carolina were not going to deal Ned anywhere but Detroit. That trade wasn't for the return. His fiance is from the area and he took a discount of about 2 mil to play there. Otherwise, you're looking closer to 5. You're also looking at more for McGinn than he got in Pittsburgh.
