Monahan isnt really an upgrade over Strome, let alone paying Jones and picks.

Flames don't have the cap space for that. I also doubt you need Wolf with UPL and levi coming up

Monahan is a similar play style, better version of Strome

Way to get a whole lot of nothing in return for Jack. You’re even retaining almost $2 million for five years. Adams would be fired if he made that deal. Wolf is a good prospect, but at a position where we do not need another one. Considering he’s the best piece coming back in the deal it’s not a very good deal. Buffalo needs forward prospects, not goaltenders.

If you add a first to the rangers offer thats a better package for eichel than you are getting from Calgary. Rangers can throw in Georgiev too.

That's an over pay for us. Wolf is basically untouchable

fine sure for arguments sake I will agree to that. Be he isnt a B+ prospect and a 2nd and a 3rd better. Its a big overpay for a slight upgrade.

I think it depends on how much Buffalo retains, I would be surprised if Buffalo was interested in Jones in general though considering their LD depth
