The Blues almost certainly want less than nothing to do with Hagg, and they sure as hell wouldn't be the team adding here. Scandella is far, far better than Hagg even on his bad days. But really, you're expecting way too much in all of these trades. I thought the same, but all of them were posted by ACGM other than Sabre fans. So I wanted to confirm what I believed.

Yeah I'll take Scandella over Hagg, but I would be shocked if Buffalo isn't firmly on Scandella's no trade list, considering he requested a trade during his last season there. Hoping for a strong season from Scandella so we can move him next offseason. We'll need the cap space. I really liked Scandella and was really disappointed when Botterill only received a 4th when STL gave up a second later on. From what I read, that is Pegula interfering with the GM. He does not like to retain, so Botterill had to take what he could.

I’m going to wait and see what we have with Hagg before we sell him off. Everybody knows Buffalo intends to sell any pending UFA contract that somebody wants, but they also have to take on payroll so they never drop below the salary floor. Honestly it would actually make sense for them to take on more salary in an Eichel trade than they give up. I sure hope Karmanos does a better job this TDL than Adams did last year. Really a second for Hall!
