  1. Beagle, Jay ($1,500,000 retained)
  2. Boyd, Travis
  3. Dzingel, Ryan
  4. Jaskin, Dmitrij ($1,600,000 retained)
  5. Kessel, Phil ($3,400,000 retained)
  6. Larsson, Johan
  7. Lyubushkin, Ilya
  8. Roussel, Antoine ($1,500,000 retained)
  9. Strålman, Anton ($2,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Beagle - still a decent 3/4C, at worst he could be an extra piece. Still has a little bit of value if someone retains at 1.5M.

Larsson - Same as Beagle, but a bit better. Decent value at 1.4M, and if cap is very tight, MAYBE there is retention.

Kessel - I think they use their final retention slot for him. Kessel at 3.4M is very good value... it would be interesting to see where he goes

Jaskin - Very big question mark. Not sure how he'll do.

Boyd - 4C/13F. Decent depth piece.

Dzingel - Still a good bottom 6 player.

Roussel - Solid 4th line player. Has a bit of value left.

Stralman - He has fallen off recently. He's just a 3rd pair dman now. However, if the Coyotes can get two teams to retain, that would make his monetary value better ($1375000)

Lyubushkin - Decent bottom pair dman, still somewhat young

Why would Philly trade Allison for a cap dump.

You can only retain on a total of 3 contracts per season, Kuemper, OEL and one more contract this season.

Koskinen > Hutton, so I'd rather keep assets and ride out the one year left on his deal

My thoughts as well. Koskinen isn't so bad that Oilers should be trading assets for lateral moves. I only trade Koskinen if the Oilers land a legitimate upgrade... not a Hutton or Georgiev or whoever else everyone is trying to send the Oilers.

If you want to upgrade your goalie, you need give up assets. Expecting Edmonton to give you assets AND take a worse player is illogical.

Hard no from toronto. Even at 50% retained, we cannot afford that cap. Even with another 50% retained somewhere else, we can't afford him as much as I like kessel
