toews is a beast but hes not worth a 4th overall pick, lets me serious here. Franchise 1Dmen sure will get a Byram and a 1st back. Toews is the ultimate partner for Makar but hes not the guy who makes that D Core engine run

Toews reputation was that of a solid 2nd pairing D despite the fact that his underlying numbers showed he was better. The isles were never getting that much for Toews even if they weren’t cap strapped.
