Anaheim needs to solve expansion problem. Probably will lose fowler at end of season anyway. Take on restricted free agent Tatar and two picks

Zetterberg with svech to do what he's done with Larkin and mantha the last two years and mentor into pros.
Would like to see Larkin at center but it's looking less and less like he will ever be one

As always. Please buy out Ericsson. But if we don't than mccilrath is sent to minors or unsigned. And ouelett and Ericsson split time on third pairing.

Personally I would prefer a young draft exempt d such as Haydn fleury or shea Theodore but understanding those guys are less likely to be moved I've taken fowler instead.

Sheahan. In spite of his slump. Will still be a very good third line center who is a good match up guy. Believe he will get out of it

If the Fowler trade is going to happen, it will be at the trade deadline next year depending where both teams are at, or it will happen after the season, and you guys get first crack at signing him.

How do you propose Anaheim approaches expansion draft given that situation then? (Curiosity not prying)

IMO, they need to trade a D-man and get something in return. I would love to keep Manson but I'm not sure how likely that will be. In a perfect world, we trade Vatanen to TBL or another team needing a d-man and pick up a forward who we want to protect. If we can't make a trade, my other suggestion is, send our 1st round draft pick of 17 to Vegas and have them choose Logan shaw.

Like the trades and RFA signings but why buy out Ericsson? You obviously don't need the cap space...get him off the books sooner by just burying or scratching him. If we need space to resign people next year, buy him out then and save a year. Also, will be a heck of an offseason having to resign both goalies, Fowler, Sheahan (although he could be a deadline deal if we're in the cellar again), Larkin, Mantha, Bert, and Nosek.

I think green and fowler basically flip salaries so that stays the same cap hit between the two. Bert and nosek don't make much more. Mantha Larkin probably bridged. Sheahan probably maxes out at just over 3 so it should be too challenging. Could let green walk if necessary

Fowler would be the last one to trade. He's having a great year and BM won't trade him. The trade was offered during the summer and you guys didn't want it. I don't see BM offering that same trade again. It will be for Vatanen instead.

Third line looks pretty promising and I like the idea of losing Helm or Abdelkader in expansion rather than Sheahan. However, I think Athanasiou needs to be playing a Top 6 role.

All in due time my friend. All in due time. Just have AA on third line instead of svech because of how they have, atleast the pst 2 seasons, treated guy like Larkin and mantha. Let z drive the line and mentor them. And then take hem away from z next year. I think next season is probably Z's last as a center. But all in good time my friend.

Agree vatanen would be an easily loss for them. But personal opinion is maybe fowler won't stay in anaheim once he becomes a free agent. Better to move him before season and make plans around that than lose him for nothing following season. I guess we will see. But that's just my thought process behind the trade. Term a big role behind thought. But agree fowler's value has significantly increased since offseason
