If Brannstrom puts up 40+ points and White still looks decent then this could make sense due to Calgary POTENTIALLY blowing it up for a rebuild.

That doesn't even come remotely close to Lindholm. Lol at Brannstrom putting up 40 points

Still feels like a lowball offer for a 25+ goal, 70+ point C/RW that's only 26 years old right now signed to a fantastic contract that pays him under $5m for the next 3 seasons (for this trade, he'd only be there for 2 -- but you get the point).

Flames didn’t sign Coleman and trade for zadorov bc they are blowing it up

They move monahan before the move lindholm

Keep in mind this is next year, where Brannstrom could be a top 4 guy by then. White is still decent but if Calgary is in a rebuild and needs to reach the floor then White could help with that. Brannstrom totally have the potential to hit 40 points, plus who's the QB on the PP? Valimaki and that's pretty much it

This is if they blow it up which is certainly possible. One more year of Gaudreau, Monahan with two more years along with good but not high end talent prospects. This core has proven that they are not good enough

We are not in a rebuild and unless Brannstrom is a LD we don't need him

What an overpay.. I don't think this is a smart move by the Sens. Brannstrom is going to be a good player in a few years, potentially even this year. Why trade him as well as a good middle six winger for a decent second line centre? Way better off throwing that package at a better centre like Hertl

You might as well, your core is not good enough and if this season doesn't go well then you might as well blow it up. Brannstrom shoots left.

Because DJ Smith isn't a fan of him. All signs point to Branny out of town by next year, especially if the Sens have to pay him. Lindholm is a top six centre and could even move to RW if Pinto is good enough for the 2C

They didn’t give sutter a long term contract as a head coach to blow it up in his first full year

Sutter is not the one making the trades

You are missing the point, a guy like him doesn’t come out of retirement for a rebuilding team. He has input in the roster and they are building it yo play sutter heavy hockey not blowing it up

I think that's a fair point! However, the Canucks brought in Torts for the same reason back in the day, and still ended up going through a rebuild/retool. At the end of the day, Sutter will need to have the flames operate at the level they did in the second half of the season. If he does, then there wont be a fire sale at the deadline. The key is keeping the progress going, and making sure you don't overwork Marky. He says he can handle a crazy workload, but he can't. He needs rest to avoid injuries and sub par performances. This is the way!

He became head coach in March of last season. Seriously take some time to look things first. You are posting like he’s been head coach for multiple seasons

I just don't think he gets you anywhere. Kinda feels like a one and done risk if it doesn't work out. Nice try tho

again reading compression, what does your opinion of him as a headcoach matter in the fact of accepting he has only been their HC for 30 games, they signed him to a long term contract and they arent rebuilding after 30 games of hiring him

at this very moment....the eve of the season, after the Flames have made moves to get bigger physical players that align with Sutters roster visions, they arent rebuilding. Abosuly no evidence to support such a claim.

You can say It all you want, to what you are doing is saying they are rebuilding to justify a bad trade, pretty simple
