VGK
  1. Martin, Matt
Additional Details:
Martin will almost certainly be exposed to Vegas when the draft comes along, I can't see Brown or Carrick being let go for nothing. Perhaps McPhee will take one of our AHL Rookies but Martin is a perfect fit as a father figure to the Knights who ideally will be a younger team.

TOR
  1. 2018 5th round pick (COL)
COL
  1. Marincin, Martin
Additional Details:
Colorado is a rebuilding team yes, but their current defence core is arguably the worst in the league and if they want to avoid becoming the new Oilers then they should be trying to get better at the blue-line any way they can. Marincin isn't a game changer but he adds minutes to your lineup and he's cheap.

Another reason I could see Vegas selecting him: He's the league leader in hits. I know in today's game its becoming less and less important but for a new fan base, physicality sells, and he might be a semi-marketable player for the Knights.

Forgot to sign Brown

Little details but...Does Hunwick deserve a pay-raise? Does McElhinney? Brown and Hyman should earn similar amounts unless the term is very different. I could see Brown getting a bridge deal to really see his potential. He could put up big points (top 6 player) or could just be an energy guy having a good year. Maybe a 1/2 year 2 mil deal is best for now. I believe its obvious Hyman is a bottom 6, PK guy, with a lower ceiling than Brown. shouldn't ever make more than 3 mil. Maybe sign his to a 4/5 year, 2.5 mil deal.

Why is Hunwick still on the team. Aren't the Leafs trying to improve their Dman. I'll keep asking, "Why are Boyle and Fehr on the Leafs?" Can't the Leafs move forward than having this two guys on the team?

Agree that Martin might be selected by Vegas. Another reason his contract was front loaded, so his actual salary is lower than 2.5.
