Long term I agree but I dont think he is ready for a top 6 role in the NHL quite yet

He's always a step ahead of everyone on the ice. If Pinto is this consistent, I don't know how you can justify starting him in Belleville. A player is ready when they're ready, and he has looked sooooooo good. OTT was one of the hottest teams to end the season last year with him in the lineup.

Whether he's ready to run with the job over a full 82 game season remains to be seen, but Pinto has absolutely earned the 2C job with his play so far. He's arguably been the best player on the whole team so far.

Ottawa looks in great shape having two cost efficient centres in Norris and Pinto. Next season if they can get another good centre, either through trade or UFA, Sens could really be playoff contenders.
I've liked what the Sens have done in the past couple of seasons. A true rebuilt when three of their top UFA weren't resigning.

lets not forget Formenton forging chemistry with Norris and Batherson, Brady could be looking in from the outside.

He’s 4th on depth chart with Ottawa. He has a $3.5 million cap hit. He was only 45% on faceoff s last year. He’s a minus player.

Evans was in my camps from 2009 until 2015. I know him extremely well. In 2013 I worked with Dom. I told him Evans will grow on him. Evans earns way less than tierney. He’s only making $750. Last year I said Evans will be ahead of KK come playoffs and people laughed at me. At playoffs Evans played and KK was healthy scratch. Evans was at 52% on faceoffs similar to Danault, until he injured his wrist and his faceoffs dipped a little. And finally Dom loves his game and plans on playing him as 3rd line Centre.

So why waste not one but two draft picks ?
