OTT declines, at this point i would not even trade a 2nd round pick for eichel, we have no idea how he will be after his surgery..if he ever gets it

That’s obviously over dramatic, but I agree Buffalo has overplayed their hand in the Eichel situation. They could have gotten away with asking for the price of “a healthy Eichel” over the summer when there was time to rehab… but now teams that are trading for him won’t get a healthy Eichel for most of if not all of the season. Who is going to give up multiple young and good roster players plus future first round picks for a guy that isn’t even going to play for them this season?

It's basically postponed to next off-season. When will Eichel get his problem fixed? When will he play to "prove" that he is healthy? It would be surprising to see him wear this jersey once again... ****ty situation

Sabres fans are just plain delusional on Eichel's value.

Ottawa wouldn't do Tkachuk for Eichel, 1 for 1.

At this point Ottawa would have leverage. Buffalo would probably have to add Florida’s first a second or a prospect.
