Honestly, for starters, go for different players. I think both of them are not really meant to be available, but when the GMs receive these offers, they would have trouble turning down the offers. There are better defensemen that are more on the trade block than these guys.

He's a second pair defensive defenseman who happens to stabilize Fox well on and off the ice. He's not an elite top pair shutdown guy. You and that other guy need to chill out lmao he's not a top pair guy without Fox. That's like saying Hyman is an elite first line winger because he played well with Matthews and Marner.

I wouldn't call him a top pairing defenseman just yet. Yes, he plays on the top pair in NY, but he's not a NHL level #1/#2 guy. That's like comparing him to guys like Chychrun, Werenski etc.

I'm not saying he's bad but he's nowhere near worth a 1st and a 2nd. Maybe a 2nd, that's it.

This!!! Absolutely this. Lindgren isn’t even close to a top pairing level Dman. MF and Orlov are better options. Especially if you are going to pay all that for him.

I’ll be honest with you. None of these players helps us win or improves us in the way you’re hoping. You could get Dunn who is WAY WAY WAY better than Lindgren for far less.

There are 4 A + prospects in the next 2 drafts. That basically means 4 guys that are projected to be MAtthews good (last A+ prospect). I’m fine with them missing playoffs either year. Also trade Kuzy at the end of the year. Hopefully he has a great year get a 1st + for him and move some other guys. Hardest thing to accept is when your team is just okay. Good enough to make the playoffs but lack everything it takes to win the cup. Capitals are at that point. We need to get younger and faster. Harsh reality is…

2) our defense is hot 💩
3) our goaltending sucks
4) the team have no discipline

I’ve been a caps fan since 2014 so since I was seven. I’m a caps fan because I’m from Maryland and my dad grew up their and lived most of his whole life their . Since my time as a fan I’ve always felt like this team will make the playoffs every year during the Ovi era. I guess I need to come to the realization that this team has a lot of holes they need to fill long term not just short term. I will do research to find a solution to fix this and make proposals. I agree with all of the statements you said. It will be hard to deal with with the fact that this team isn’t the best in the league anymore and the possibilities of not making the playoffs are real. Yeah. Ovechkin will go down as one of the best players of all time but unfortunately the capitals didn’t take advantage of the opportunities they had when he was younger to win. He might be able to win a few cups as an accessory player. The season falls on Kuzy and the defense of they can do well we will go far if not same 💩 different year
