Edmonton isn't in the position to take a cap dump without sending some salary back

I think the Pens would have to strongly consider that move. Miller isn't the goal-scorer Jake is, but he brings the versatility to play both wing and center, as well as being a bigger body with a physical game; these are both things Hextall and Burke value. Plus a first? Me personally? I'd say yes.

The only way the Canucks should even consider letting go of another 1st round pick is if it provides a serious upgrade on the blueline. Using it just to swap forwards is a waste IMO.

The Pens would have to consider it just b/c the 1st round pick. I’m sure the Canucks would protect that pick. Atleast top 5 protected.

But trading Guentzel might all but guarantee Sid NOT taking a hometown discount and finishing with the Pens.

I personally think Guentzel gets signed with Sid. And Sid finishing his career with the Pens and Jake on his wing.

As a Pens fan, I would accept the offer. Pittsburgh needs to take the future into account.
