This is flawed, because Thanos killed half the population of the universe. If we apply that to one club such as Montreal then half the players in the organization would still be alive. This scenario only had 16 players survive and 32 killed so double the players died than survived.

It's a 50/50 chance. Coincidencely more people died than survived

50\50 chance literally means that half survive and half die so again this is a flawed. I know you did not make up the algorithm or anything like that, I was just showing how flawed the method was. If we were to randomly assign a number for each player and select those numbers from a hat until we had no more numbers left that would be a more accurate way to calculate it. Doint it virtually though is not accurate because you are re-running the algorithm based on your personal IP address and not that of every player in the league. So as a result you are only really getting your results over and over and over again and assigning them to a player. I know this is all you can do and was only for fun, I was just trying to illustrate that the team suffered to many losses and in a true Thanos universe the team would have had an even number on both sides.

or more than half habs died but say more than half buffalo and ottawa survived. doesnt have to be 50% on one team just 50% in the entire world. mtl just got unlucky....real unlucky lol

I guess I just misunderstood your method, I kind of assumed you were operating under the assumption that each team was sort of like an isolated universe. Hence the reference to 50/50 split.
