I heard that Sheldon Keefe personally asked DJ Smith to end the game early because some of the Leafs players were feeling a little yucky.

And that DJ agreed and both teams called it a day.

Doesn't seem there was much at stake in last night's game :/

Last Night's game was fairly bland and doesn't have been much besides white got hurt.
However I would say there is no way Sanford belongs in the top 6, Formenton I think has played his way into the line with Norris and Batherson, even when Brady does come back. So bump Sanford to 3rd line where he belongs.

As for the 4th line, I would be calling up Sokolov, who does play RW full time now and Kastelic before the other guys, even just for the 9 games they get before they burn a year off their contract. Sokolov especially, he seems to have really taken a step this summer and could be an important top 6 RW the sens still are in need of within a year or two.

I would be calling up Sokolov too.

In fact, I would have him as a regular on the team.



The Problem is that he's a cutling.

He got cut from the team and got sent down like all the other cutlings.



If Pierre Dorion sent him down and then called him up the next day, he and the rest of the braintrust in the Front Office would look like a bunch of weak and indecisive flip-floppers.

Are we somehow going to be worse than last year? :-(

I don't know.

Every season is different from the last one.


I just feel a little gloomy that we don't have Brady or Colin anymore
