Interesting. IMO this model is a little too bullish on the Devils, Wild and Kraken for my taste. I don’t see any of them finishing 2nd.

Atlantic seems pretty much spot on, but everything else seems off.

Was surprised to see Devils there.
Have been seeing a lot of Devils in 7th or 8th...which may be a bolder call than 2nd.

Wild are good, would have (1) COL (2) WPG (3) MIN myself

Yeah I think it’s just a couple years too early on the Devils, but they’re def on that trajectory. That division is tough, though. I think they’ll compete for a playoff spot but not land in 2nd.

Wild are def good, but beyond the Avs, it’s just a slugfest of pretty decent but not great teams. Im with you in that WPG finishes 2nd. 3rd could be any of Wild, Blues, Stars or even Hawks, IMO. Wild are prob the favorite there but it really depends.

EW mystifies me. They’re always so so so wrong, yet somehow tricked the hockey world into thinking they’re a valuable resource. The information they provide is literal trash.

Forgot who first said it, but "teams get good fast and teams get bad faster".
I think the Metro is going to see a lot of change this year and next

Is there a entity you haven't complained about, bcarlo25?
What is a legit source?

Just TSN?
You've heard about the 25 teams that play in America, right?

Because if one's media diet exists of just TSN, they'd think there are only 7 teams in NHL.

I wouldn't say no to another Toronto Boston playoff series.

I feel like they're a bit low on Vancover... I think they'll be a bubble team fighting for the 3rd spot or WC rather than back with the California teams.

When I watch TSN I forget there are teams in the league other than Toronto.

80% Maple Leafs
10% Habs
5% Canucks, Senators, and those other three in the fly-over provinces
3% Marlies
2% Other hockey

I prefer that to a website that makes random projections, are almost always way off, and are treated as gospel.

They don't make random projections
They are not always ways off (show me data if you want to make this case)
They are not treated as gospel (but some of their models are used by professionals).

I can see why they give less attention to Edmonton/Calgary/Vancouver, Sportsnet has 100% of the TV rights for the games so they don't end up with dedicated analysts like they do for the other teams. I like TSN better but won't complain that I get 100% of Oilers and Flames games with my TV package, never deal with a blackout.

I know...I got nothing against TSN, Sportsnet or any media outlet.
Was just needling a guy who has long reputation for antagonizing people on this site
