Stars reject we aren’t paying a 2nd for a bottom parring defensemen we don’t need. We just signed Hakanpaa for 3 years.

He can handle second pair minutes so he provides depth and insurance for injuries.

And? Our defence is the last place we should upgrade because:

1). It’s our best part of our team
2). It’s the most healthy part of our team

I wouldn’t mind giving up a 2nd for a top 9 scoring winger at the deadline, but not for a bottom parring defensemen.

I think Fabbri could return a first if we put him on a line with Larkin and Raymond all season

Did you hear Vrana is out for 4 months?
Also Yzerman is not stupid enough to put Raymond on the first line, he looks really good so far but he's still 19... give him some time. We also shouldn't trade Leddy, he was great for the Isle and will be key as a veteran piece for the future, especially with the amount of kids on the roster. Also imo the wings will never get that for Greiss, he's too old and honestly pretty mediocre. The wings are better off just keeping him until one of the younger guys is ready to take over, the goalie prospects don't look bad at all so far.

I think you're slightly missing what Yzerman is doing by acquiring pieces like Leddy, we've got one of the most expansive prospect pools in the NHL, so why are you suggesting we keep adding picks? We need to be doing two things: Letting the kids develop without too much pressure, aka not throwing 19 year olds onto the 1st line, and we need to be adding, and building towards a playoff team, not trading away assets for scraps. We're definitely not playoff ready yet, but we aren't tearing down anymore.

They can always get Leddy again in the offseason. Losing him at the TDL is ok.

Rangers reject that trade they won't give up a first rounder for a guy that has a cup even with a retention.

Leddy is worthless to us. We’ve got way too many defenseman as it is and our own kids pushing. Find another team to make an awful trade with.

The point would be getting a high pick in return. Every team wants that for sure.

Stecher = late 3rd round pick, Leddy = late 2nd round pick, Namestnikov = late 4th round pick, Fabbri = late 1st if he has a good year or possibly 2 late 2nds in 2022 and 2023. Rowney = waivers he sucks. Greiss @ 50% retention looks about right.
