yeah, no one is giving Gabriel a roster spot over an actual NHLer like Engvall or Dermott

You can't compare Dermott to Gabriel, they play different positions.

I don't think Engvall is that good.

you can compare them when you're trading a guy for salary reasons to keep a significantly worse player.
Engvall is, on his worst day, an NHL 4th liner who can PK. Gabriel on his best day is an AHL 4th liner who cant fight very good, You dont keep AHL goons on your team over actual NHL players.

Yeah I get ur point, but thats why Simmonds and Gabriel are fighting for the roster spot.

They arnt, simmonds has a spot, Gabriel does not
