Description

Over the last few games, it's been pretty obvious (to me, and now to DET management) that Raymond has graduated (a la Larkin before him). I don't think Ryan and Raymond are in competition for the same spot, I think there are others that are on the bubble.

Here is what I think opening night looks like for DET.

The earliest Vrana will be back is January, so I bet Steve says something to the effect of "We will worry about Vrana's spot when he comes back....". Chances are this is going to be a very different team by January anyway, between injuries on DET (or other teams) and shakeout of play.

Yzerman has already said he's going with 8 defensemen. Lindstrom will be on the team. He wouldn't clear waivers anyway.
